Panini Liga Este 2023

 

The official sticker collection of the Spanish Liga for the 2022/2023 season keeps the traditional features of early release (August) followed by new edition of stickers in the following months. Moreover, the presence in Spain of the Panini magazine "Jugòn" allows for extra stickers released almost monthly during the season. In addition to the usual "Conmemorativos" stickers showing the album cover, Jugòn released also six additional stickers from the section "Hombres GOL" and the update set "Mercado de Invierno", released in the spring with a short album and 42 stickers. 

For what concerns the stickers that can be found in regular packets, the album includes two pages for each Liga club, with the golden club badge, the coach, and space for 18 player stickers. There is, however, sometimes more than one player sticker per spot in the album, with "B" or "bis" stickers. This is clearly not ideal, as the collector has to choose how to deal with the extra stickers. 

After the Liga clubs, there are some special sections in the album. "Cuadro de Honour" is about the best teams and players of the previous season. There are 7 stickers with the clubs that qualified to the European cups and the stickers of the best keeper (Bounou) and top goalscorer (Benzema). "ADN Hombres Gol" are four pages including 28 special stickers of the best Liga strikers in action. Then, the "Segunda Division" is presented with the club badge stickers of the 22 competing clubs. Finally, the album ends with the traditional section of the latest transfers (Ultimos Fichajes), including 66 new players and three stickers of the top transfers: Cavani, Tchouameni and Lewandowski.

The album was released also in a special hardcover edition (to be purchased online) at the beginning of the season. In the following, we show the hardcover album and the set of loose stickers. There is also a South American version of the album that we do not consider in this post.

Panini Fussball 82 (Germany)

 

In the 1981/1982 season, Hamburg won the Bundesliga, counting on 27 goals of the top scorer Horst Hrubesch. The official sticker collection of the competition was released by Panini for the fourth consecutive year, including also the clubs of the 2.Bundesliga.

The album begins with an introductory page featuring the contents of the album and three metallic stickers: the German Federation logo, the Bundesliga "Meister" and the DFB-Pokal trophy. The Bundesliga clubs are then shown in alphabetical order. For each club there are in total 19 stickers over two pages: the metallic club badge, the team photo puzzle composed by four stickers, and 14 players.

The section dedicated to the 2.Bundesliga (Zweite Liga) starts right after and lasts four pages. For each competing club there are the stickers of the club badge (half metallic sticker) and the team photo (composed by two stickers).

The last part of the album features two special sections. The first one is dedicated to famous football players of the past, with 46 stickers of players taken in action. The second one includes 40 cartoon stickers drawn by the cartoonist Prosdocimi, who collaborated with Panini in several sticker albums of the time. The Fussball 82 collection does not include a poster or updates.
