Panini Foot 2003

The album Foot 2003 is a clear break from the previous edition Foot 2002: stickers are similar to the Spanish league, with the players in action and the portrait on the side of the sticker. Also, the Ligue 2 is not included anymore. Instead, there is a large section dedicated to the French football stars around the world. The experiments was not particularly successfull and Panini went back to a more traditional style with the collection Foot 2004

In the season 2002/2003, Lyon won their second consecutive title (just one point ahead Monaco), in a series that will count 7 titles from 2002 to 2008. The top goalscorers were Nonda (Monaco) with 26 goals, Pauleta (Bordeaux) with 23 goals, and a young Didier Drogba, who scored 17 goals with Guingamp. In this collection we find also Ronaldinho playing for PSG and the young Mickael Essien (Bastia) and Petr Cech (Rennes).

The album Foot 2003 begins with the table of contents and it continues with the 20 Ligue 1 clubs in alphabetical order. For each club there is space for 14 player stickers over three pages. However, for some spots there is a choice between two stickers, as there are in total 17 or 18 player stickers per club. The collection includes only players with no badges of team photos of the clubs.

The theme of this collection is certainly Philippe Mexès. He appears on the cover, he signed the foreword and there are 20 stickers (one for each club page) with his advice.
In the following, we present photos of the album and the complete loose set of stickers.

The 18 stickers of PSG players

The empty pages of PSG include space for 14 of the 18 stickers

The long section "Stars du foot" includes 78 shiny stickers of the French football stars playing in Ligue 1 and abroad. Due to rights issues, the stickers of International clubs do not include any club symbol. Therefore, players like Zidane (Real Madrid) or Trézéguet (Juventus) are wearing edited anonymous shirts.

Panini Fotboll 2000 (Sweden)

The album "Fotboll 2000" is a famous collection, as it includes the rookie sticker of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who was playing for Malmo in the second division that season (Superettan). He scored 12 goals and the club was promoted to the main division (Allsvenskan) with a second place behind Djurgardens. In the Allsvenskan, Halmstads won the title with 52 points, ahead of Helsingborgs and AIK. Berglund (Elfsborg) was the top scorer of the season with 18 goals.
Fotboll 2000 is the seventh Panini album of the Swedish football (after the years 1986, 1987, 1991, 1993, 1995, and 1999) and also the last so far. It opens with an introductory page including the table of contents and two metallic stickers: the trophy of the league and the winners 1999 (Helsingborgs). Then the 14 clubs of Allsvenskan are shown in alphabetical order. For each club there are 16 stickers: the metallic badge, the team photo and 14 players. For the second league, only the main two clubs are included (Djurgardens and Malmo) with 14 stickers each (badge, team, and 12 players).

In the center of the album, there is a section of 18 metallic stickers on four pages dedicated to Swedish players in Europe. Among them, we can mention Patrik Andersson (Bayern Munchen) and Henrik Larsson (Celtic).

The section "Swedish players in Europe" includes 18 metallic stickers. Here two Swedish players in Italy: Ingesson (Bologna) and Osmanovski (Bari)

Club badge stickers of the two teams of the second league (Superettan) included: Djurgardens and Malmo FF

Rookie stickers of Kim Kallstrom (18 years old. He played for Lyon from 2006 to 2012) and the king Zlatan Ibrahimovic!
