Fussball 2000 is Panini’s official sticker collection dedicated to Austrian football for the 1999/2000 season, covering both the Bundesliga and the Erste Division. The album contains 312 stickers and represents a transitional moment in Panini’s design approach at the turn of the millennium, combining traditional album structure with some early attempts at more modern visual elements. As with other Austrian editions of the period, the collection does not include update sets, posters, or card-based extras.
The album opens with a short introductory section consisting of two shiny action stickers. The main portion of the album is dedicated to the 10 Bundesliga clubs, which are presented according to the final standings of the previous season. Each club is allocated four pages and 27 stickers. The layout for each team includes the shiny club badge, the home stadium, a team photo divided into two stickers, five shiny action stickers showing players in match situations, the coach, and 17 player portrait stickers completing the squad.
After the Bundesliga section, the album introduces a distinctive thematic insert titled “Ewige Torjäger Top-250”, dedicated to the greatest goal scorers in the history of the Austrian league. This section consists of 10 action stickers, each highlighting a prolific scorer.
The final section of the album is devoted to the Erste Division, which is presented in a simplified format. Each of the 10 second-tier clubs is represented by three stickers, comprising a shiny club badge and a team photo split across two stickers.
From a sporting perspective, the 1999/2000 Austrian Bundesliga season documented in the collection concluded with Tirol Innsbruck winning the league title and Ivica Vastić of Sturm Graz finishing season as top scorer with an impressive 32 goals.
