Panini Este Liga 2021/2022

The 2021-22 edition of Colecciones Este celebrated an important milestone: fifty years of Este albums dedicated to the Spanish league. Released in August 2021, the collection followed the traditional early-season format, with the inevitable consequence that numerous transfers and squad changes had to be incorporated later through update releases. As in recent years, the album was available in both standard and hardcover editions.

The album opens with a contents page that also includes space for the two traditional Cromos Conmemorativos, promotional stickers distributed with Jugón magazine. This is followed by one of the highlights of the collection, the commemorative section 50 Temporadas con LaLiga, celebrating five decades of Este football albums.

This introductory section consists of 25 special stickers, each reproducing the covers of two historic Este albums. Unlike regular stickers, these are smaller in size and were only available inside a commemorative collector's tin box, making them one of the most distinctive additions to the collection.

The main album follows the familiar Colecciones Este format. Each of the 20 LaLiga clubs is allocated space for twenty stickers: the club badge, a star player shown in action, a shiny Rookie Impact sticker, and the remaining squad members presented with the classic Este design combining a portrait and an action photograph on the same sticker.

As has become customary in recent editions, some player positions could be completed with either sticker "A" or sticker "B", allowing collectors to choose between two different versions. Throughout the season Panini also released BIS stickers, replacing players who had left their clubs or had become unavailable, further extending the checklist for dedicated collectors.

After the club pages, the album concludes with three thematic sections. The first, ADN de LaLiga, contains 32 stickers celebrating some of the greatest players of the Spanish league during the previous fifty years. Football legends such as Diego Maradona, Johan Cruyff, Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo are featured. Interestingly, Lionel Messi does not appear in this section despite his historical importance, as he had only recently left Barcelona after the album's release. Panini later addressed this omission by issuing a special Messi ADN de LaLiga sticker, distributed with Jugón magazine.

The second section, Últimos Fichajes, is the traditional update area that has become essential due to the album's August release. It includes players who joined their clubs after publication and was gradually completed through new sticker releases during the season, eventually reaching 64 stickers plus two additional BIS stickers.

The album finishes with La Isla del Tesoro, a nine-sticker section dedicated to some of LaLiga's greatest historical records. Among those honoured are Andoni Zubizarreta for his record number of league appearances and Lionel Messi as the competition's all-time leading goalscorer.

Beyond the main album, collectors could expand the collection through several additional releases. The most important was Mercado de Invierno y Actualización, a 42-sticker update set covering the winter transfer window and other squad changes. This release was distributed with Jugón magazine during March, April and May 2022.

An additional release was the Equipos de LaLiga, also available through Jugón. This supplementary publication featured 20 team photo stickers, one for each LaLiga club, together with dedicated pages for mounting the stickers.

The 2021-22 season will be remembered for Real Madrid's comfortable march to the LaLiga title under Carlo Ancelotti. Los Blancos secured the championship with four matches to spare, while Karim Benzema enjoyed the best league campaign of his career, finishing as Pichichi with 27 goals and leading his team to the title.

Panini Foot 2026

Foot 2025-2026 is Panini’s official sticker collection dedicated to the French Ligue 1 for the 2025/2026 season. Released in December 2025 and also available in a hardcover edition, the album contains 602 stickers and introduces a fresh concept by celebrating the league’s most famous rivalries alongside the traditional presentation of the clubs. The result is a collection that combines current squads with the historical and regional identity of French football.

The album opens with an introductory page containing the table of contents and the first sticker of the collection: a metallic sticker of the Ligue 1 trophy. From there, the album alternates between club presentations and thematic sections dedicated to the greatest derbies.

One of the defining features of Foot 2025-2026 is the inclusion of seven rivalry sections, each spread over two pages. Every section presents the history and statistics of one of Ligue 1’s most iconic fixtures and includes six metallic action stickers, three for each club involved. The featured rivalries are Le Classique (Olympique de Marseille – Paris Saint-Germain), Le Derby du Nord, Le Derby du Sud, Le Derby de l’Ouest, Le Derby de l’Est, Le Derby de la Côte d’Azur, and Le Derby de Paris.

The 18 Ligue 1 clubs are presented in alphabetical order, each occupying four pages and represented by 28 stickers. The first two pages introduce the club through five special stickers: four metallic stickers featuring the “Maestro”, the “Top Recrue”, the “Buteur”, and the team celebrating together, plus a sticker of the club’s home shirt. The following two pages are dedicated to the squad itself, with the metallic club badge accompanied by 22 player portrait stickers.ù

The album concludes with several traditional sections. A double-page spread is dedicated to the eight Ligue 1 referees, continuing a feature that has become a familiar part of recent Foot collections. This is followed by the customary “Mercato d’Hiver” section. and closed by the season calendar, including a sticker of the defending champions Paris Saint-Germain.

As in previous editions, the winter transfer market is covered through a dedicated update set, released in March 2026. The update introduces 46 new player stickers, allowing collectors to keep the album aligned with squad changes during the season. It also includes the usual “Joueur transféré” mini-stickers for players who changed clubs, together with mini-stickers celebrating the official Ligue 1 awards of the season. These recognise Ousmane Dembélé as Meilleur Joueur, Désiré Doué as Meilleur Espoir, Robin Risser as Meilleur Gardien, and Pierre Sage as Meilleur Coach. The mini-stickers are designed to be placed next (or on top) of the corresponding player stickers in the album.
