The Calciatori 2001–2002 album, published by Panini, offers a comprehensive overview of Italian football for the season 2001/2002. Covering all four professional divisions — Serie A, Serie B, Serie C1 and Serie C2 — the collection is a straightforward but complete guide to the Italian league system. Rather than including special sections, the album focuses entirely on the clubs and their players.

The album begins with an introductory section containing information about Italian football and lists of winners from various competitions. These pages do not include any stickers, and the collection moves quickly to its main content: the 18 Serie A clubs, presented in alphabetical order.

Each Serie A team occupies three pages and is represented by 24 stickers. The section includes a shiny club badge, a team photo composed of two stickers, the coach and 20 individual player portraits. Each player's career information is printed alongside his portrait, adding a useful biographical element to the collection. The third page also includes spaces for up to six update stickers, which were released separately in a dedicated set in spring 2002. This update set contains 84 stickers featuring new Serie A players, making it an important addition for collectors who wanted to complete the album with the latest squad changes.

After Serie A, the album continues with the 20 Serie B clubs, also arranged alphabetically. Each team is presented on a single page with nine stickers: a shiny club badge, a team photo and seven player stickers, each featuring two players.

The final sections are dedicated to Serie C1 and Serie C2. Serie C1 features two groups of 18 clubs, with each team represented by a team photo sticker and a shiny club badge occupying half a sticker space. Serie C2 follows with three groups of 18 clubs, but coverage is more limited: each club is represented only by its shiny badge (half a sticker).

There are no further sticker sections or additional thematic pages at the end of the album. Instead, the collection maintains its consistent focus on the clubs competing throughout the Italian professional leagues.
