Football 84 is Panini's sticker album dedicated to English and Scottish football for the 1983/84 season. The collection brings together the English First and Second Divisions and the Scottish Premier Division in a single album containing 526 stickers.
The album opens with a contents page and five introductory stickers celebrating individual award winners from the previous season. These feature Bob Paisley, Manager of the Year; Kenny Dalglish, Player of the Year; Charlie Nicholas, Scottish Player of the Year; Ian Rush, Young Player of the Year; and Paul McStay, Scottish Young Player of the Year.
The English First Division clubs are presented in alphabetical order, with each team represented by 16 stickers. These consist of a metallic club badge, a team photograph and 14 individual player portraits.
After the First Division comes Collector's Corner, a two-page section containing 18 stickers. Fifteen of these reproduce football match programmes, while the remaining three are metallic stickers featuring some of the most important trophies in the game: the European Champions' Cup, the FA Cup and the League Championship Trophy. This section adds a nostalgic touch, celebrating both football memorabilia and the competitions that define the sport.
The album then features two special pages dedicated to players. First Division Goal-Getters presents nine action stickers of attacking players from the top English division, while Second Division All-Star Team contains 11 action stickers highlighting players from the second tier.
The English Second Division follows, featuring all 22 clubs. Unlike the First Division, each team is represented by just two stickers: a team photograph and a half-size metallic club badge.
Before the Scottish clubs, there is another special section called Scottish Strike Force, featuring eight action stickers dedicated to attacking players from Scotland. The Scottish Premier Division teams are then presented in alphabetical order, each occupying one page. Every club has a metallic badge, a team photograph and 14 player portraits, with two players appearing on each player sticker.
From a sporting perspective, Liverpool won the English First Division in 1983/84, with Ian Rush finishing as the league's top scorer with 32 goals. In Scotland, Aberdeen won the Premier Division title, while Brian McClair of Celtic was the division's leading scorer with 23 goals.
