Panini Foot 89 (France)

The official sticker collection of the French football released by Panini changed its name in "Foot" for the '89 edition, after being called "Football" from 1976 to 1988. It is a small change, which lasts however up to our days.

The album features as usual the first two French Divisions. However, for the second division, only the club badge stickers are included. In addition, there is a section with the best football stars from Euro '88, the tournament held in Germany the previous summer and won by the Netherlands.

The collection begins with the clubs of Division 1 shown in alphabetical order. For each club there are 18 stickers over two pages: the metallic club badge, the team photo (two stickers), the coach, and 14 players. The Division 2 section starts right after with the club badge stickers of the 36 clubs divided in two groups (A and B). Each badge sticker is half size metallic stickers, whereas player stickers are not included.

At the end of the album there is the  "Flash sur Euro 88" section with an overview of the best players taking part in the Euro 88. Here we find 20 stickers of players in action: Gullit, Van Baster, Maldini, Vialli, Matthaus, Klinsmann, Michailitchenko, and Michael Laudrup, just to mention some of them. The album ends with no other sections with stickers. Moreover, there are no poster or updates for this collection.
