Panini Football 80 (France)

Football 80 en images is the fifth sticker collection of the French football published by Panini. As it states on the cover, it includes the Division 1, the Division 2, and a special section dedicated to Saint-Etienne, the new club of Michel Platini.

The album begins with an introduction including one sticker about the sponsor Europe 1. Then, the 18 clubs of Division 1 are shown in alphabetical order with 17 stickers each over two pages: the metallic club badge, the coach, and 15 players. Player details and career description are printed on the album under each sticker.

The 36 clubs of Second Division are divided in Group A and Group B, each composed by 18 clubs. First, the club badges are shown with half metallic sticker for each club. Then, the squads are presented with six stickers of players, including a total of 12 players for each team. Funnily, all teams are included except Alès, who ended last in Group B.

In the last part of the album there is the section Spécial Saint-Etienne, going through the Champions League 1975/76, when Saint-Etienne reached the final. In this section there are 31 stickers with actions from the games played by Saint-Etienne to reach the final (Glasgow Rangers, Dynamo Kyiv, PSV Eindhoven) and the final lost against Bayern Munchen. In the season 1979/1980, Saint-Etienne got only the third place in Division 1, won by Nantes, and they reached the quarterfinals of the UEFA Cup.

International players: Jean-Amadou Tigana (52 caps and 1 goal for France in his career) and Anders Linderoth (40 caps and 1 goal for Sweden)

AS Monaco's International strikers: Roger Milla from Camerun and the Argentinian Delio Onnis, who was the top scorer of the championship together with Erwin Kostedde (Laval) with 21 goals.

Michel Platini in his first season with Saint-Etienne and the Argentinian striker Carlos Bianchi, who scored 11 goals for Strasbourg in his last season before going back to Argentina
