Panini Brasileiro 2000

The Brazilian championship 2000 was organized by "Clube dos 13" instead of the National Federation (CBF) due to legal complications and it was named Copa Joao Havelange. This special tournament was contested by 116 teams divided in groups followed by a knockout stage. Vasco Da Gama won the title defeating Sao Caetano in the final (1-1 and 3-1), counting on the goals of Romario, Juninho Pernambucano and Jorginho Paulista. The top scorer of the season was Adhemar (Sao Caetano) with 22 goals.

The Panini album of the championship includes the best 25 clubs taking part in the competition. The list of these clubs can be read in the table of contents at the beginning of the album. There is also an introductory page explaining the contents of this collection. For each club there are two pages with details and statistics, including six stickers (shiny badge, mascot, two team stickers, home kit, and coach), and other two pages with 14 players (the star player is a puzzle composed by two stickers). Some clubs have only 20 stickers: no coach sticker for Atletico Mineiro, Bahia, and Sport, and no mascot sticker for Flamengo.

After the clubs, there is a six page section over the 30 years of history of the Brazilian league. Here there are records, statistics and 24 stickers of the Panini logo in football actions.

The last section of the album is dedicated to the Champions of the Brasileirao 2000. These 15 special shiny stickers of Vasco da Gama (badge and 14 players) could be ordered directly to "Panini Brasil" at the end of the season, as explained in the last page of the album.
