Panini Foot 2008

Panini Foot 2008 is the official sticker collection of the French Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 for the season 2007/2008. This album includes several young prospects that were later transferred to big teams in England, Italy and Spain. We have among the others Gervinho (Le Mans), Loic Remy (Lens), Lichsteiner (Lille), Benzema (Lyon), Nasri (Olympique Marseille), Pjanic (Metz), Lloris (Nice), and Fredy Guarin (Saint-Etienne).
The album opens with the table of contents and the calendar of the season, then the Ligue 1 teams are shown in alphabetical order. Each team is displaced over 4 pages with a total of 26 stickers: the club badge (metallic sticker), the team photo (two stickers), the coach, two top players in action and 20 player portraits. There is also space (up to four stickers for each club) for the update stickers of the winter transfers market. Team pages are full of statistics, players careers and team kits are included (not as a sticker).

The album continues with Ligue 2 teams, which are placed on half page with three stickers (metallic club badge and team photo), data about the club and the list of players in the squad.

This album includes many rookie stickers and young prospects that later on became successful and moved to big clubs abroad. Here below the most famous:

Gervinho (Le Mans) and Pjanic (Metz) are now both players of Roma

Lichtsteiner (Lille, now at Juventus) and Fredy Guarin (Saint-Etienne, now at Inter)

Lloris (Nice, now at Tottenham) and Rémy (Lens, now at Chelsea)

Nasri (Marseille, now at Manchester City) and Benzema (Lyon, now at Real Madrid)

Another suprise of this album is Patrick Kluivert. The Dutch forward concluded his career in Lille in the season 2007/2008 with 13 appearances and 4 goals after playing for Ajax, Milan, Barcelona, Newcastle, Valencia and PSV.
Here his last sticker as a player:

Transfer set
To complete the collection, an update set including transferred players was released after the winter market. The set contains 39 stickers with a maximum of four stickers per team to be glued in the dedicated area of each team page. A special tag-sticker "Transferé" can be glued on top of each players that left the club. A practical list with all the transfers (in and out) is included in the transfer set. Among the new players in the set, there is a young Loic Remy (Lens) and Mavuba (Lille).

Panini Liga 2014-15 (South American edition)

In the season 2014/2015 Panini released two official sticker collections of the Spanish Liga, one for Spain and one for South America & Mexico. We present here the latter, which is a compact collection including all the 20 teams of the Liga in 286 stickers. There are no stickers of club badges or team photos, but there are action stickers of the best South American playing the league.
The album opens with the table of contents and then shows the teams in alphabetical order one after the other. Each team is displaced on one page and includes 11 stickers of players, except for the three top teams (Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Real Madrid), which are placed on two pages and have a total of 18 stickers of players.

At the end of the album there is a special section with Liga stars in action. Here we find 45 stickers on five pages. All players in this section are from South America or Mexico as the album was released in these countries. Therefore we don't find Cristiano Ronaldo or Gareth Bale among the Liga Stars.

Bosnia BH Premijer Liga 2015 (Sky Media)

In the spring 2015 the first sticker album of the Bosnia & Herzegovina football league made his appearance, published by the local company Sky Media. The album includes all the 16 teams of the Premier League. In the first two introductory pages there are 9 stickers: a big logo of the BH Premijer Liga (composed by four stickers), the trophy of the competition, the national federation logo and a celebratory picture of the champions 2015 FK Sarajevo (composed by three stickers). These last three stickers were numbered A, B, and C and printed at the end of the season and included in normal packs of stickers.

The album continues with a double page that includes all the stadiums of the Premier League with a total of 16 stickers. Next to each sticker there are details about the name, capacity and location of the stadium.

The three stickers A, B, and C were printed after the end of the season to celebrate the winner (FK Sarajevo). They were included in sticker packs and could be glued in the second page of the album.

Personal note: This album has been particularly challenging to complete. I bought three boxes (150 packs) and album and I had many doubles (sometimes doubles in the same sticker pack!) with still more than 50 missing stickers. Stickers were removed from the market and it seemed that it was not possible to request the missing stickers to the publisher. I went through multiple exchanges on a facebook group contacting local collectors and after four months I have finally received the last missing stickers! I want to thank everyone who helped me: Faruk, Anesa, Vedran, Vladimir, Nasiha and Samir.
