Panini Calciatori 1992/1993

 

In the season 1992/1993, the Italian Serie A was the top European league with some of the best Italian and International players. Three teams reached the European finals: Juventus won the UEFA Cup and Parma won the Cup Winners' Cup, while AC Milan lost the Champions League final against Marseille (0-1) but they won the Serie A title with 50 points, four more points than FC Inter. The top scorer of the championship was Giuseppe Signori (Lazio) with 26 goals.

The official sticker collection released by Panini includes all the clubs of Serie A, Serie B and Serie C1. The first section of the album is about the main players featured by the Serie A (I protagonisti del campionato). Here we find 40 metallic stickers of the best players in action, like Baggio, Batistuta, Baresi, Gascoigne, Van Basten, Mancini.

The clubs of Serie A are then shown in alphabetical order with 17 stickers over two pages for each club: the shiny club badge and 16 players. The Serie B section starts right after with 8 stickers for each club: the shiny badge and 7 player stickers (two players per stickers for a total of 14 players). In the Serie B we find also some famous names like Alessandro del Piero and Cristian Vieri. The Serie C1 is included with just the shiny badge half-sticker for each club. Team photos of all the clubs (Serie A, Serie B and Serie C1) are just printed on the album (no stickers).
