Panini Futebol 2016

Panini Futebol 2015-16 is the official sticker collection of the Portuguese Premier League (Liga Nos). The league has been expanded to 18 teams and thus the collection includes two more teams compared to last season.
As in the previous album, the club badges are collected in a double page at the beginning of the album. These 18 special stickers are shining with the badge in relief. Then the teams are shown in alphabetical order, each displayed on two pages with a total of 19 stickers: the team photo, the coach and 17 players. The sticker of each player includes only the name, but more details (date of birth, position, previous club, etc.) are reported in the album.

The last part of the album includes three special sections: "Os Craques", "Top Aquisiçoes", and "Portugueses pelo mundo".
The first includes 18 stickers (one per team) of the most performing players of the league. These are normal stickers with players in action. Top Aquisiçoes includes 18 special stickers (shining and in relief) of the best new transfers of the league. There are 7 players of Porto, 5 of Sporting, 3 of Benfica, 1 of Braga, 1 of Belenenses, and 1 of Vitoria Guimaraes.  Among these Casillas, Mitroglou, Imbula, Raul Jimenez, Bryan Ruiz. The last section is "Portuguese in the world" and it includes 10 special shining stickers of the best Portuguese players playing abroad: André Gomes (Valencia), Bernardo Silva, Moutinho and Carvalho (Monaco), Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid), Danny (Zenit), Nani (Fenerbahce), Pepe (Real Madrid), Tiago (Atletico Madrid) and Vierinha (Wolfsburg).
The album closes with the table of honour of the League and Cup of Portugal.

The back cover of the album

Panini released during the season update stickers for players that were transferred after the album was published in September. These stickers "bis" can be found in normal sticker packs. There are 30 "bis" stickers (see image below), among which important players like Nelson Semedo and Gonçalo Guedes (Benfica), Ruben Neves (Porto), Aquilani (Sporting), Sergio Conceiçao (coach of Vitoria Guimaraes).  As there is a sticker number behind these stickers it is possible to glue the stickers in correspondance of the substituted players (I suggest using the method provided by Panini for the Liga Este albums) or they can be kept in a separate folder. Unfortunately because of the early release of the album some important new "cracks" are missing, in particular Renato Sanches of Benfica (born in 1997)  followed already by the big European clubs.

Panini Cyprus League 2015/2016

We present here the complete album of the Cyprus league of the season 2015/2016. The collection has been published by Panini, as usual in the latest years. The album of this season has been renovated with new graphics and more stickers starting from a stylish cover. However, it does not reach the standard of the usual Panini albums, as the paper used is very thin.
The album includes the 14 teams of First Division. Each team is displaced over four pages with a total of 23 stickers: the team photo (two stickers) and 21 players.

Apoel Nicosia

 AEK Larnaca

 Omonia Nicosia

 NEA Salamis

 Aris

The second part of the album includes two sections. The first one is "I Love this Game" with 40 stickers that show game actions over four pages of the album. On the stickers and on the album there is no description of the games or the players in action. This feels a too large section and it is a pity that club badges were not included.
The last section is "PASP Football Award 2014/15", with 12 stickers of awarded players and coach on one page. These are special shining stickers with a great design that increase the collection value at last.

Fernando Cavenaghi (APOEL), ex River Plate,
top scorer of the regular season with 19 goals

Karim Hafez (Omonia) and Nicolas Ioannou (APOEL),
two young prospects of the Cyprus league

Young prospects included (1995 or younger)
Nicolas Ioannou (1995, APOEL), Christos Wheeler and Charis Kyriakou (1997 and 1995, Apollon), Karim Hafez (1996, Omonia), Giorgi Aburjania, Efthymios Koulouris, and Andreas Makris (1995, 1996, and 1995, Anorthosis), Moustapha Quaynor and Leandros Lillis (1995 and 1996, Ermis), Antonis Katsiaris and Marios Elia (both 1996, Ethnikos Ahnas), Antonis Mahattou and Ilias Georghiou (1998 and 1997, Ayia Napa), Eric Leontiou and Richard Emmanuel Edimo (1997 and 1995, Doxa Katokopia), Symeon Kittos, Antonis Koumis, Loizos Kosma, and Panayiotis Hadjiandreas (1996, 1997, 1995, and 1997 EN Paralimni), Panayiotis Zachariou, Hervé Bodiong, and Thomas Ioannou (1996, 1997, and 1995, Paphos), Kyriakos Panagi (1996, Aris).

Panini Euro 2012 - Hardcover album

The official sticker album of the Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine was released by Panini. For the first time the collection includes also an hardcover version of the album, released in Germany.
The album opens with an introduction including 6 metallic stickers: the Panini factory, the Euro 2012 logo (two stickers), "Creating History Together", the mascot, and the Uefa Respect sticker.

The usual section with venues and stadiums is displaced over four pages. The first two pages show the Polish cities (Gdansk, Poznan, Warszawa and Wroclaw) and the second two the Ukranian cities (Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Lviv). For each location there is one sticker for the city and two for the stadium for a total of 24 stickers in this section.

The section "Creating History Together" includes one sticker per team (total of 16 stickers) with the two mascots of the competition (Polish and Ukranian).

The last section before the teams are shown is the calendar of the competition, which includes three stickers: the official ball and two shining stickers that compose the trophy.

The participating teams are divided in groups and each team is displaced over three pages with a total of 29 stickers. On the first page there are two shining stickers (the federation logo and the mascots of the competition with the flag of the team) and four normal stickers to compose the team photo. In the other two pages there are 16 stickers of player portraits and three stickers of the main team stars in action.

Group A: Poland, Greece, Russia, Czech Republic
Lewandowski was not enough to make the hosting team Poland going through the group phase. Russia had the same destiny. The two qualified teams (Greece and Czech Republic) were eliminated in the quarter finals.

Group B: Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Portugal
A tough group that saw the Dutch early out of the competition together with Denmark. Both Portugal and Germany reached the semifinals where they were defeated by Spain (at penalties) and Italy (1-2), respectively.

Group C: Spain, Italy, Ireland, Croatia
In this group we find the two finalists. Spain defeated France in the quarter finals and Portugal in the semi finals at penalties. Italy did a great tournament eliminating England and Germany, but had to surrender to Spain in the final.

Group D: Ukraine, Sweden, France, England
Also the other host of the competition, Ukraine, was eliminated in the group stage. France and England went through but were defeated in the quarter finals by Spain and Italy, respectively.

The last part of the album is dedicated to the history of the UEFA European Football Championship. The winners of each edition since the first one in 1960 are celebrated with two stickers (three for the winners of 2008). This section includes thus 27 stickers.
