Panini Sprint 2009

Panini Sprint is a sticker collection series dedicated to the world of cycling. It was created by Panini in the '70s for the Belgian market, when five albums were published (Sprint 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, and 1979). After 30 years, Panini picked up the series again, releasing the album Sprint 2009, which was followed by three more albums (Sprint 2010, 2012 and 2013).

In the cycling season 2009, Lance Armstrong returned after a four year break and finished third in the Tour de France won by Alberto Contador. The Giro d'Italia was conquered by Menchov and the Vuelta Espana by Valverde. Cadel Evans won the World Championship.

The sticker album of the season includes all the teams of the World Tour, with all the best cyclists of the year. After the contents and a brief introduction without stickers, the teams are shown in alphabetical order. There are in total 21 teams with 17 stickers per team: the jersey (shiny sticker), the team photo, and 15 cyclists. In the last part of the album there are two sections focusing on the best Belgian cyclists. The first is a gallery of Belgian champions, including stickers from old Sprint albums. Here we find among the others the stickers of Merckx, De Vlaeminck, Vam Impe and the most recent ryder Museeuw. The second section is dedicated to Cyclo-Cross, a popular discipline in Belgium. Here there are six stickers, with five Belgian ryders and the Dutch Lars Boom.

Panini Superliga 2002

In the season 2001/2002, Real Madrid had a fantastic squad with superstars like Roberto Carlos, Figo, Raul and Zidane. They won the Champions League defeating Leverkusen in the final (3-1) with an incredible goal of Zidane. However, in the Liga they did not perform at the same level and Valencia was the surprising winner with 75 points.
For this season there are two sticker albums of the Liga: the official collection released by Este and the Superliga unofficial by Panini. We present here the Panini album, which has a simple layout with 20 stickers per team and no special stickers of club badges of team photos. There are no other sections with stickers except a last page in the album with space for nine update stickers with players transferred during the winter market.

Panini Calciatori 2011

After three titles in a row, in the season 2010/2011 FC Internazionale won "only" the Italian Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup. The Scudetto was conquered by the rivals of AC Milan, led by Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva.
The sticker album Calciatori 2010/11 celebrates 50 years of Panini, since the first Calciatori album was issued in 1961/62. The album begins with the fixtures of the season and an introductory page including the "50 years Panini" logo. Then the 20 clubs of the Serie A are shown in alphabetical order. Each club has 24 stickers (metallic badge, team photo, coach, and 20 players) over four pages, with additional space for four update stickers released with the winter transfer set in the spring 2011.

Between the Serie A and Serie B clubs there are two special sections. "Film del Campionato" shows the movie of the season 2010/2011 with 12 stickers released in two special packets, the first in January and the second in June 2011. "Frammenti di Storia" (fragments of history) goes over the 50 years of Panini with 20 stickers.

The Serie B section starts with the fixtures of the season. Then the 22 competing clubs are shown in alphabetical order with the stickers of the metallic badge (half sticker), the team photo, and 18 players (six stickers with three players per sticker). After the Serie B section, the clubs of Lega Pro are presented. The Lega Pro is divided in the First Division (Groups A and B) and the Second Division (Groups A, B, and C). For the clubs of First Division the stickers of the team photo (half sticker) and badge (1/4 of a sticker) are included, whereas for the Second Division only the badge sticker is included.

The amateur league (Serie D) section includes the stickers of the league logos and the list of groups and competing teams. The women's Serie A is also included with the team photo stickers of the 12 clubs (half sticker each). The last part of the album includes two more sections: "Top Team Panini" with the 18 players most voted for the 50 years of Panini and two stickers with the lists of the most voted players. "Calciatori 50" shows the 50 covers of the Calciatori albums with 25 metallic stickers (two covers per sticker).
