Panini Copa America 2019

The Copa America 2019 was held in Brazil between June and July 2019. The trophy was contested by 10 South American teams and two invited Asian nations (Qatar and Japan). Host nation Brazil won the title defeating Peru 3-1 in the final. Third place for Argentina and fourth for Chile. Top scorers with goals were Everton (Brazil) and Paolo Guerrero (Peru).
The official sticker collection released by Panini is the fifth consecutive since the edition 2007, for a total of six including the first album published in 2001. This is the third album released in the hardcover version (with 2015 and 2016). The graphics and the layout are very similar to the last two editions. In the first page the calendar of the competition is shown together with the logo stickers of Panini and Copa America 2019. These are regular not shiny stickers. In the next two pages the five cities and six stadiums of the tournament are presented, with a total of 12 stickers (one per city/venue, except the stadium Maracanà, composed by two stickers). The participating teams are shown by group order. Each team has 23 stickers over three pages: shiny badge, team photo (two stickers) and 20 players. After each group there are two pages with stickers of star players in action. There are 18 action stickers  per group, out of which four shiny.

Group A: Brazil, Bolivia, Venezuela, Peru

Group B: Argentina, Colombia, Paraguay, Qatar

Group C: Uruguay, Ecuador, Japan, Chile

The last part of the album includes a long section about the history of the competition. The first three pages are a tribute to nine legends, with two stickers per player: Batistuta (Argentina), Sanchez (Bolivia), Ronaldo (Brazil), Figueroa (Chile), Valderrama (Colombia), Spencer (Ecuador), Delgado (Paraguay), Cubillas (Peru), Francescoli (Uruguay). The other six pages celebrate with 36 stickers the teams that won the Copa America from the first edition in 1916 to the last in 2016. Last page of the album includes the roll of honour and the sticker of the trophy.

Panini Giro d'Italia 2018

The Giro d'Italia 2018 was the 101st edition of the famous cycling race across Italy. This edition started with three stages in Israel, before moving to Italy for 18 further stages. 22 teams with some of the best riders in the World took part in the competition. Chris Froome, former winner of the Tour de France, won the Maglia Rosa (Pink Jersey) of the overall classification, beating the defending champion Tom Dumoulin. He won also the blue jersey of the mountain classification, whereas Elia Viviani won the points classification (cyclamen jersey) and Miguel Angel Lopez the white jersey of the young rider classification.
After the success of the previous edition, Panini published another sticker collection of the race, the second ever dedicated by Panini to the Giro d'Italia. Also this collection combines stickers and cards, with 395 stickers and 73 cards that can be found in regular packets and additional 16 stickers with the "film" of the race, released with two special sealed packets by the Italian magazine Gazzetta dello Sport
The album shows on the cover Tom Dumoulin, the winner of the Giro 2017, and it starts with some introductory sections. The first page includes the logo of the race and the trophy. Albo d'Oro is a section with the winners of the race and the stickers of the mascot Lupo Wolfie and the different jerseys (pink, blue, cyclamen, white). I numeri del Giro includes records and facts with numbers of the previous editions. Here there are the stickers of the trophy (puzzle of two stickers) and the logo of the magazine Gazzetta dello Sport. The last section before the participating teams is about the route of the race 2018 (Il percorso). Here there are the stickers of the mascot Wolfie on the bike and the overall route 2018.

The 22 participating teams are shown in alphabetical order. For each team there are 16 stickers over two pages: the team photo (2 stickers) and 14 riders. A selection among the possible participating riders was made by Panini for each team. Therefore, some big names like Nibali and Valverde are not included in the album due to their statement of not taking part in the race.

More special sections are included at the end of the album. Uomini che fecero l'impresa (men who did an exploit) tells about some of the greatest achievements of riders during the history of the Giro d'Italia through 15 stickers of front pages of the Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport. Among them the most recent are some sensational stages of Indurain, Pantani, Basso and Nibali.

Giro d'Italia - Hall of fame celebrates six of the greatest past winners with stickers in action: Merckx, Gimondi, Moser, Baldini, Hinault, Indurain. No sticker for Roche. The seventh sticker of this section is the mascot Wolfie taking a selfie. The album continues with 8 stickers of locations hosting stages during the Giro d'Italia 2018.

The last section with stickers is the "Film" of the race 2018, with 16 extra stickers released with the sport newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport. These stickers celebrate winners of key stages and the final jerseys of the race.

Each packet of the collection includes four stickers and one card. The checklist of the 73 different cards available is at the last two pages of the albums. The cards of this collection cover the stages of the race (22 cards), the team jerseys (22 cards), bikes (23 cards), and special jerseys (6 cards).
