After the first three albums of the Champions League (2000, 2001, and 2002), Panini is back with an album for the season 2005/2006. The collection is called "Champions of Europe 1955-2005" because it includes a five page section with 25 stickers of the Champions League winners. It represents also a new starting point for Panini, which released a Champions League sticker collection for all the following seasons until loosing the rights to Topps in 2015.
The teams included in this collection are 21, most of them participating to the Champions League 2005/2006, but not all (Roma, Bayer Leverkusen, Marseille are the exception). The teams are shown in alphabetical order, each displayed over two pages with 17 stickers: one metallic logo and 16 players of the season 2005/2006.
In the last page of the album we find the list of winners and the Champions League cup composed by two metallic stickers.
There are two versions of club badges (depending where the collection was released): with a caricature of with the official logo
In this album there are the first Champions League stickers of Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi
