Panini released in September 2016 the official sticker album of the Mexican tournaments Apertura 2016 and Clausura 2017. This album covers therefore both tournaments, whereas in 2015 two separate albums were released.
Blue is the dominant color of these Mexican albums since the edition 2013/2014. The main difference with this collection is that the club mascots are not included in the album, a real pity as they are part of the Mexican football culture.
The album opens with the calendar of the season and an introductory page including three shining stickers: the official ball, the trophy of the Liga Bancomer (premier league) and the trophy of the Liga Ascenso (second league).
Each of the 18 teams is displaced on two pages with a total of 18 stickers: the club badge (shining sticker) and 17 players. Stickers are quite simple, only the name and number of the players are included. More details are printed on the album under each player. The stadium of each team is represented with a background photo and a picture, but no sticker.
The section with the clubs of Liga Ascenso begins with a double page including all the club badges of the teams, for a total of 18 shining stickers. Then for each club there are two stickers composing the team photo. Details about the squad and the stadium are printed on the album.
