After a break of seven years, a new official sticker collection of the Scottish football was released by Topps. It is the third Topps SPFL album after the 2014 and 2015 editions. The long break was not for nothing, as the album seems improved in all aspects. Overall, it is a successful collection including both the Premiership and the Championship tournaments, with shiny stickers of badges, home kits, star players, and "players to watch" for each Premiership club. Moreover, the collection features stadiums, mascot stickers, and Scottish football legends. Basically, only a hardcover album is missing to make the collection memorable.
The album begins with the contents and two introductory stickers: the shiny Topps logo and the SPFL logo. Then the Scottish Premiership is introduced in numbers with five stickers: the Premiership logo, the Champions 2021 (Glasgow Rangers, two stickers), and the trophy of the tournament (two shiny stickers). The 12 clubs of Premiership are then shown in alphabetical order with a total of 19 stickers on four pages per club: the club badge (shiny), the home kit (shiny), magic moments, the star player (shiny), the stadium (two stickers), the mascot, and 12 players. One of the player stickers is a "player to watch" and it is a shiny sticker.
Right after the Premiership clubs, the album includes a special section with the "Legends of Scottish football". Here we find 30 stickers with some of the best players of the Scottish league from the past years. Among them Leighton, Souness, McCoist, Nakamura, Larsson, Petrov, Amoruso, Laudrup, Di Canio, and Gascoigne.
The album continues with the Championship section, which is first introduced by two pages with statistics of the tournament and five stickers: the logo, the champions 2021 (Hearts, two stickers), and the trophy of the tournament (two stickers). The ten Championship clubs have 9 stickers on one page: the shiny club badge, the stadium (two stickers) and six stickers of players for a total of 12 players (two players per sticker). In the following, we show an empty album with a complete loose set of stickers.
