Panini Futbol Colombiano 2008

 

"FPC 2008 Copa Mustang II" is the seventh Panini collection of the Colombian football, after Futbol '88, '89 and '91 and the most recent FPC 2005, FPC 2007 Copa Mustang I, and FPC 2007 - Copa Mustang II.

The edition 2008 includes both the Primera Division and the Primera B, with some remarkable players like Pablo Armero, Jackson Martinez and the 42 years old René Higuita. The album covers the Copa Mustang II, which corresponds to the Finalizacion tournament. America de Cali won the tournament defeating Independiente de Medellin in the finals (1-3, 1-0)

The album begins with an introductory page including two shining stickers (Panini stamp and DIMAYOR logo) numbered 0 and 00, followed by 378 stickers of Primera Division and Primera B. The clubs of Primera Division have 18 stickers each: the shiny badge, the team photo, and 16 players. Clubs of Primera B are included with three stickers each: the badge (regular sticker) and the team photo (two stickers). No other sections or update are present in this collection. In the following, we show pictures of all the pages with stickers.

Shiny club badge stickers from Panini FPC 2008

Jackson Martinez played in Europe for Porto and Atletico Madrid. He has 40 caps and 8 goals with Colombia. The legendary goalkeeper Rene Higuita joined Deportivo Pereira in 2008 at the age of 42 and retired there on January 25, 2010.
