Panini Calciatori 2010

The 2009/2010 season was a memorable season for Inter. They won the "treble" (or "triplete"), with the Italian League, the Italian Cup, and the Champions League. The team led by Mourinho performed extremely well in all the competitions, with a solid defense (Julio Cesar, Maicon, Lucio and Samuel), a strong midfield (Cambiasso, Zanetti, and Sneijder) and prolific forwards (Milito and Eto'o). In particular, Diego Milito was on fire in the last games, when he scored in the final of the Italian Cup (1-0 against Roma), in the last decisive Serie A game (1-0 against Siena) and in the Champions League final (2-0 against Bayern Munchen).
The Calciatori collection of the 2009/2010 season is the 49th official sticker collection released by Panini for the Italian football since 1961/1962. The album, in terms of layout and design, marks a step forward compared to the previous editions, starting from the cover design.
The Serie A clubs are shown in alphabetical order and displaced over four pages. For each club there are the stickers of the badge (shiny), the team photo (two stickers), the manager, and 20 players. In addition there is space for four stickers of manager/players that were transferred during the season. These stickers are included in an update set that was released in the spring 2010.
After the Serie A clubs and before the Serie B clubs, there are two sections. The first, "Film del campionato", includes 12 stickers with the movie of the season. These stickers numbered V1 to V12 were released in two packets with the newspaper "Gazzetta dello Sport", in January and June 2010. The second, Calcio d'Autore, includes 12 stickers with some of the best Serie A players in action. Among them Buffon, Eto'o and Totti.
The 22 clubs of the Serie B are displced following the alphabetical order. For each club there are the stickers of the club badge (half shiny sticker), the team photo and 18 players from six stickers (three players per sticker).
The album continues with the third and fourth professional leagues, which fall under the Lega Pro (I and II division). The clubs of I division are divided in two groups (A and B), with the stickers of the team photo (half sticker) and the shiny badge (1/4 of a sticker). The clubs of II division are divided in three groups (A, B and C) with only the shiny badge sticker (1/4 of a sticker).
The album includes also one page with the team photo stickers of the Women's league (Serie A) and two pages with the list of the competing teams in the amateur league (Serie D) . Here there are the stickers of the league logo and the association logo (half sticker each).
In the last part of the album there are four special sections. Momenti di Gloria shows 20 stickers with pages of the newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport. The 20 stickers are referred to the 20 Serie A clubs competing in the season 2009/10. The second section is dedicated to Italy in the World Cup, with the reproduction of the 10 stickers of Italy in the Panini World Cup albums from 1970 to 2006. The last two sections are the "Top Team Panini" and the "Top Team Panini - Young", which include the stickers of the most voted players and young players of the Serie A.
