Copa Libertadores 2011 - Nuevo Siglo

This album published by Nuevo Siglo for the Copa Libertadores 2011 is similar in style and design to the Copa Sudamericana 2011 album. These are the first sticker albums dedicated to these South American competitions.
The 32 teams participating to the second stage of the Libertadores 2011 (group stage) are included in the album. Santos won the cup defeating Penarol in the final with a 2-1 in Sao Paulo (Neymar 46', Danilo 68' / Durval 79') after equalizing 0-0 in Montevideo.
The album starts with the table of contents and a short presentation of the album and the competition.

The first stickers are the logo of the competition (4 stickers) and the trophy (8 stickers). The 32 teams appear with the following order: America (Mex), Argentinos Jrs (Arg), Cerro Porteno (Par), Colo Colo (Cil), Cruzeiro (Bra), Estudiantes (Arg), Fluminense (Bra), Gremio (Bra), Independiente (Arg), Internacional (Bra), Junior Barranquilla (Col), LDU (Ecu), Nacional (Uru), Penarol (Uru), Santos (Bra), Velez (Arg), Caracas (Ven), Dep. Tachira (Ven), Emelec (Ecu), Godoy Cruz (Arg), Guarani (Par), Jaguares (Mex), Jorge Wilstermann (Bol), Leon Huanuco (Per), Libertad (Par), Once Caldas (Col), Oriente Petrolero (Bol), San Luis (Mex), Tolima (Mex), Universidad San Martin (Per), Union Espanola (Cil), and Universidad Catolica (Cil).
For the first 16 teams there are 13 stickers placed on one page: the club badge, the team uniform and 11 players. With respect to the Copa Sudamericana album, there is no stadium sticker.
For the second 16 teams there are 6 stickers, with seven players (two per sticker) and one badge, placed on half album page.

In this album we find stickers of some well-know players. In particular Neymar (Santos), but also among the others Ochoa (America, now goalkeeper at Ajaccio), Veron (Estudiantes), Deco and Fred (Fluminense), D'Alessandro (Internacional), Carlos Bacca (Junior Barranquilla, now playing for Sevilla), Felipe Gutierrez (Universidad Catolica, now at Twente)

Santos is the winner of Libertadores 2011. We find here relevant stickers: the goalkeeper Rafael who signed last summer for Napoli, Jonathan (player of Internazionale), Elano (ex Manchester City), Ganso (now at Sao Paulo) and of course Neymar (big star at Barcelona).

Neymar scored a goal in the final. This is his sticker in the album.

The album ends with a big collage (12 stickers) of the ball of the competition, whereas on the last page there is the list of Libertadores champions.
