Clausura 2008 is the second last album produced by Panini for the Uruguayan league, as the series ends with the Apertura 2009. It includes a total of 208 stickers with all the 16 Primera Division teams. Stickers of this collections are large, with players in action and metallic badges. Overall this is the best quality album from the Panini Uruguay series.
The album cover with a simple foot kicking a ball is similar to other Panini league albums from 2008 and 2009. However, in this case the design is different (for example Foot 2009, Apertura 2009). Behind the cover there are instructions on how to complete the album and the collection checklist (only numbers) from 1 to 208. After the fixtures of the Clausura tournament, the 16 clubs are shown one after the other with a total of 13 stickers per club over two pages: the metallic badge, the team photo, and 11 players in action. After the last club the album ends with no extra sections.
River Plate and Penarol concluded the tournament both a the first place with 37 points. In the play-off game organized to decide the winner, Penarol defeated River Plate 5-3. Paulo Pezzolano (Liverpool) was the topscorer of the tournament with 12 goals.
