Lazio won the 1999/2000 Serie A with an incredible last day, when Juventus lost the game and the title in Perugia. Shevchenko was the top goalscorer of the tournament with 24 goals.
The Panini sticker collection of the season is the 39th Calciatori album released for the Italian football. the album shows some football stars on the cover and it begins with an explanatory page on how to update the collection. In addition to the update set there are "change shirt" stickers (Cambiamaglia) for the new transfers. Each club page has space for up to six new players (two big stickers and four small size stickers). The checklist of the update set can be found here. There are no introductory stickers and the album continues with the Serie A clubs shown in alphabetical order. Each club has 24 stickers over four pages: the shiny badge, the team photo (two stickers), the coach, and 20 players.
After the Serie A clubs there are two special sections. The first is dedicated to the Italian International referees (Arbitri Internazionali), with 10 stickers. Among them the world-famous Pierluigi Collina. The second section includes 40 caricature stickers drawn by Achille Superbi. Here we find all the main star players of the league: Baggio, Batistuta, Buffon, Maldini, Ronaldo, Totti, Vieri, Zidane...just to mention some of them!
The album continues with the Serie B. For each club there are 9 stickers on one page: the shiny badge, the team photo, and 14 players (two players per sticker). The Serie B 1999/2000 included some major clubs (Napoli, Atalanta, Genoa, Sampdoria) and relevant players (Simone Barone, Claudio Caniggia, Antonio Di Natale , Luca Toni).
The last part of the album includes the last two professional leagues (Serie C1 and C2). Serie C1 has two groups of 18 clubs, with the team photo sticker and badge sticker (half size) for each club. Serie C2 includes only the club badge (half size sticker) for all the 54 competing clubs, divided in three groups.
