In 1996, the Brazilian championship featured several Brazilian stars. Among them, the future Italian Seria A players Cafu and Edmundo and the World champions Taffarel and Bebeto. The championship 1996 included 24 teams with a regular season of 23 rounds and a knock-out stage with the best 8 teams. In the end, Gremio won the title after a draw in the final against Portuguesa, because of a better position at the end of the regular season (6th place against 8th place).
The Panini sticker collection of the league includes all the 24 teams. At the beginning of the album, there is a special section of three pages with 24 stickers of club mascots. Each club is then displaced over two pages with a total of 15 pages: club badge and 14 players. Club pages are enriched by career details of each player included in the album. The collection does not include the Serie B nor any special sticker (shiny or metallic).
