Calciatori 1978-79 is the Panini sticker collection of the Italian football, including all the professional leagues, from Serie A to Serie C2. The album starts with the clubs of Serie A in alphabetical order, with 18 stickers for each club: the club badge (fabric sticker), the team photo, and 16 players. Club pages include also player details and careers.

At the bottom of the Serie B pages there are stickers of the most famous retired Serie A players. There are in total 59 stickers of black and white portraits, with players like Altafini, Facchetti, Haller, Mazzola, Trapattoni.

The last part of the album covers the Serie C1 and C2. For the 72 clubs of Serie C2, divided in four groups, only the club badge sticker is included, which is also just one third of a regular sticker.
