Panini Bundesliga 2024 (Austria)

 

The official sticker collection of the Austrian football 2024 celebrates 50 years of the Austrian Bundesliga (1974-2024) with a special section of six pages and 24 stickers.

The album begins with an introductory page including five stickers: the winners 2023 (RB Salzburg, two stickers), the map with the clubs (two stickers) and the official ball. The section dedicated to the Bundesliga anniversary features five stickers with the evolution of the Bundesliga logo (from 1974 to 2024), three stickers with the trophies used since 1977, and 16 stickers of players taken from previous Bundesliga albums published by Panini. Among these players we can mention Mario Kempes (from Fussball 87), Sadio Mané (Fussball 2014), and Erling Haaland (from Fussball 2020).

The 12 clubs competing in the 2023/2024 Bundesliga championship are shown following the classification order of the previous season. For each club there are 26 stickers displaced over four pages. In the first two pages the club is presented with the stickers of the club badge (metallic), the team photo, the coach, the stadium (two stickers), and three stickers of star players in action. In the other two pages, the squad is shown with 18 player portrait stickers.

The last part of the album features the 16 clubs of the 2.Liga, with four stickers for each club: the metallic club badge, the team photo, and two star players. There are no updates or extra cards for this collection. 

Sturm Graz won the Bundesliga 2023/2024, ending the 10-year streak of RB Salzburg. The top goalscorer of the league was Karim Konaté (RB Salzburg) with 20 goals.

Panini Tour de France 2024

 

The sixth Tour de France album from the Panini series was published in the spring 2024. This collection features as usual the teams takings part in the famous cycling competition with a large introduction dedicated to the stages and their winners. There is also a small section about the Women's Tour de France, featuring this year only the logo sticker, with no stickers of the women riders. Like last year, there is a hardcover album, but no collector's box.

After a page with the contents, the album shows the route 2024 and the sticker of Maxoo, the mascot of the race. The section with the stages includes first a sticker of Florence in Italy, the city of the big departure of the race, and then for each of the 21 stages there is one sticker of the city (either departure or arrival) and one sticker of the stage winner (included in the update set). The update set includes also the four stickers of the jersey winners 2024: yellow (Pogacar), green (Girmay), best climber (Carapaz), and white (Evenepoel); there are, therefore, 25 stickers in the update set (21 stage winners + 4 jersey winners).

The 22 teams taking part in the Tour de France 2024 are then shown in alphabetical order. For each team there are 14 stickers displaced over two pages: the team logo, the team photo in action (metallic sticker), the team jersey (metallic sticker), the bike (metallic sticker), and 10 stickers of cyclists. After the presentation of the teams, there are two sections before the end of the album. The first shows the women's Tour de France route with the logo sticker of the race, whereas in the other one there is a drawing realized by Dadou and completed with the caricature stickers of Hinault (five times winner), the Italian legend Marco Pantani (1998 winner), the "Tour de France in Nice", and the Eurosport sticker.
