The German football club Dynamo Dresden was founded on 12 April 1953. To celebrate the 70 years anniversary, Stickerstars produced in 2023 a sticker album distributed in the REWE supermarkets. The collection is composed by an album and a set of 182 stickers. In addition, 20 stickers are available also in a special shiny version. Those stickers are distributed randomly in sticker packets and they can be kept as extra stickers or glued in the album instead of the regular stickers.
The album includes the team of the 2023/24 season and the history of the club, with titles, main players, and records. The first page shows the contents of the album, followed by an introductory page with the foreword and two stickers (Dynamo Dresden and REWE logos), also available in the shiny version. The album continues with the principles that are behind the club identity (8 stickers) and the presentation of the squad (54 stickers), the staff (14 stickers), and the youth team (10 stickers). In the season 2023/2024, Dynamo Dresden reached the fourth place in the third professional league (3.Liga), missing the promotion to the 2.Bundesliga, but qualifying for the DFB-Pokal. Stefan Kutschke was the best scorer of the team with 13 goals.
The album continues going deep into the history of the club, with the main events (14 stickers), the evolution of the shirt (9 stickers), the supporters (12 stickers) and the stadium (16 stickers). The charismatic Rudolf-Hardig-stadion was completely renovated in 2009, with 32400 seats. The stadium could host also the FIFA women's World Cup in 2011 and several exhibitation games of Germany.
The next section is about the main results of Dynamo Dresden (13 stickers). The club won eight times the DDR-Oberliga (East German League) between 1952/53 and 1989/90, seven times the East German Cup in the same period, the German Cup in 1990, and two times the 3.Liga in 2015/16 and 2020/21. In Europe, they reached the UEFA Cup semifinals in 1989, eliminated by Stuttgart (1-0, 1-1), after defeating Aberdeen (Sco), Waregem (Bel), AS Roma (Ita), and Victoria Bucarest (Rom).
Two pages are dedicated to nine key players in the history of the club. Here we find also Ulf Kirsten, who has 154 caps and 54 goals for Dynamo Dresden. The album shows then eight stickers with some of the best moments, including the UEFA-Cup quarterfinals in 1989 when they defeated AS Roma for two times. The last two sections of the album explore the records (8 stickers) and the legends (5 stickers) of the club.
