Panini Champions League 2009-2010

UEFA Champions League 2009–2010 combines all 32 participating clubs with a total of 564 stickers. The album opens with a shorter introduction compared to the previous editions, featuring just four stickers. These include the Champions League logo, the official poster of the final in Madrid, the official match ball, and the famous Champions League trophy.

The presentation of the teams follows immediately after the introduction. All 32 clubs are shown in alphabetical order, maintaining the same layout established in earlier editions. Each club is represented by 17 stickers, consisting of one shiny club badge and 16 player portrait stickers. The structure remains highly classic and squad-focused, with little emphasis on graphical experimentation, allowing collectors to appreciate the teams and players in a straightforward and organized way.

At the end of the team section, the album includes the “UEFA Club Football Awards” segment, composed of 14 stickers featuring some of the greatest football stars of the era in action. Among the players celebrated are Gianluigi Buffon, Kaká, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Samuel Eto’o. This section adds variety to the album and serves as a showcase of the elite talent dominating European football at the end of the 2000s.

The collection concludes with a short but historically important section dedicated to the UEFA Women's Champions League. This final page contains two stickers: one featuring the competition logo and the other the trophy. Although very small, the inclusion of women’s football marks an important step in broadening the scope of the album beyond the men’s competition alone. Like the previous editions, the collection does not feature update sets or extra stickers/cards.

From a sporting perspective, the 2009/10 season culminated in a historic triumph for FC Internazionale Milano, who lifted the trophy in Madrid after defeating FC Bayern München 2–0 in the 2010 UEFA Champions League Final thanks to a brilliant performance from Samuel Eto’o and especially Diego Milito, scorer of both goals. Under the guidance of José Mourinho, Inter completed an extraordinary treble, winning the Serie A title, the Coppa Italia, and the Champions League in the same season.

Panini Champions League 2008-2009

UEFA Champions League 2008–2009 is the direct continuation of Panini’s revived sticker series dedicated to the UEFA Champions League, with a refined structure, historical tribute sections, and a total of 564 stickers.

The overall layout remains very similar to the previous edition, maintaining the clean and traditional Panini style focused primarily on the participating clubs and their squads. The album opens with an introductory section containing 8 stickers, including the Champions League trophy, the official match ball, and the competition logos.

The collection then moves directly into the presentation of the 32 participating clubs. The holders, Manchester United F.C., appear first after winning the previous edition in Moscow, while the remaining clubs follow in alphabetical order. Each team is represented by 17 stickers, consisting of one silver club badge and sixteen player portrait stickers.

One of the main additions of this edition is the inclusion of several thematic sections at the end of the album. The first of these is “All-Time 1992–2008”, a retrospective celebrating some of the greatest individual records in Champions League history since the competition adopted its modern format in 1992. This section contains six stickers: three dedicated to appearance records, featuring Raúl, Roberto Carlos, and Paolo Maldini, and three focused on all-time top scorers, showcasing Raúl once again alongside Ruud van Nistelrooy and Andriy Shevchenko.

The next section, “UEFA Champions League Legend”, is dedicated to reigning champions Manchester United and includes three stickers celebrating the English club and its European legacy following their triumph in the previous season.

The album concludes with the “UEFA Champions League 2009” section, composed of three stickers dedicated to the upcoming final in Rome. These feature the official logo of the final, the stadium, and the Colosseum, connecting the competition to one of Europe’s most iconic cities and building anticipation for the decisive match.

Like the previous edition, this collection does not include update sets, extra stickers, cards, or parallel versions. The album remains fully self-contained and reflects the traditional Panini collecting philosophy of the late 2000s.

From a sporting perspective, the 2008/09 tournament culminated in the 2009 UEFA Champions League Final, where FC Barcelona defeated Manchester United F.C. 2–0 thanks to goals from Samuel Eto'o and Lionel Messi. The victory marked the beginning of one of the most celebrated eras in Barcelona’s history under Pep Guardiola.

Panini Champions League 2007-2008

UEFA Champions League 2007–2008 is one of the early modern Panini collections dedicated exclusively to Europe’s premier club competition, the UEFA Champions League. After Panini had launched the Champions League series in the 1999/2000 season and then interrupted it after only three editions, the collection returned with Champions of Europe in 2005 and then with a Champions League album in 2006/07. The 2007/08 edition expanded on that comeback, featuring the 32 qualified clubs with a total of 552 stickers.

The album opens with an introductory section featuring four stickers on the first page, including the famous Champions League trophy and the official match ball. On the following page, four additional stickers continue the introduction: two are dedicated to the defending champions AC Milan, one celebrates the FIFA Fair Play values, and the last one is dedicated to the final venue of the tournament, Luzhniki Stadium, where the 2008 final took place.

The presentation of the teams follows the alphabetical order, starting with AC Milan. Each of the 32 teams is allocated 17 stickers, following a very clean and classic Panini structure: one silver club badge sticker and sixteen player portrait stickers. Compared to more modern collections filled with action shots and special subsets, the focus here is strongly centered on the squads themselves, giving the album a traditional and highly organized feel.

After all the teams have been presented, the album concludes with a retrospective section dedicated to the history of Champions League finals since the year 2000. This final segment contains only printed images and no stickers, serving as a visual celebration of the recent history of the competition and linking the current tournament to its immediate past. The collection does not contain update sets or extra stickers/cards.

From a sporting perspective, the 2008 UEFA Champions League Final became one of the most memorable finals of the era. Manchester United F.C. defeated Chelsea F.C. in a dramatic penalty shootout after a 1–1 draw, securing their third European Cup title. The final is especially remembered for the rain-soaked conditions in Moscow and the decisive missed penalty by John Terry.

On the first page we have 5 stickers: 1x the team logo (it is a fabric sticker), 2 stickers for the whole squad, 1x the coach, and 1x the top player of the team (silver sticker) . For each team we have thus 2 top players stickers, printed on a silver shining foil. Next to these stickers, there is a short description of the player history and characteristics.
The best player of the Ligue 1 in the season 2010/2011 was certainly the young belgian Eden Hazard. He played amazingly, driving Lille to the conquest of the League. Hazard is now playing for Chelsea in the Premier League.

Before the Ligue 2 teams, there are two pages dedicated to the French League Records ("Records du Championnat"). A total of 10 stickers with description are included. Among these stickers we have Michel Rio (fastest goal with 8 seconds in 1992), Laurent Paganelli (youngest debutant in 1978) and Jean-Luc Ettori (record of appearances, with 602 matches in Ligue 1).
The teams of Ligue 2 are placed on one page and have 7 stickers each: 1x team logo (silver foil), 2x squad, 4x players (a total of 16 players in 4 stickers). Panini Brasileiro 2010

The Panini saga of the "Campeonato Brasileiro" continues and improves every year. Besides, an extra sheet of update with 10 new transferred player has been added to the collection.
Opening the album, the first page includes the table of contents, the description of the league and the first sticker (actually sticker 000), which is the logo of "Campeonato Brasileiro 2010".

As usual we find great talents and rising stars. In particul the trio of Santos: Ganso-Robinho-Neymar. In 2010 Robinho was back to Brazil after the experience in Premier League (and before going to A.C. Milan), Neymar was already an accomplished player eyed by the richest teams in the world and Ganso an appreciated midfielder with many estimators.
In this album we find also Jonathan (now playing for Internazionale) and a very young Roberto Firmino (now at Hoffenheim in Bundesliga).

Each Serie B team is composed by 8 stickers: 1 team logo (silver), 1 mascotte and 12 players (two players per sticker). Same details of team and players of Serie A are included also for the Serie B teams.
