Panini Foot 97 is the 22nd Foot album released by Panini. It includes all the clubs of Division 1 and Division 2, with no other sections with stickers. The album is a typical Panini's collecion from the 90's: large stickers, simple layout and plain graphics.
The album begins with the table of contents and it continues with the clubs of Division 1 displaced in alphabetical order. For each club there are 15 stickers over four pages. In the first two pages there are the club fixtures, player careers, and two stickers: the metallic club badge and the team photo. In the two following pages there are 13 player stickers.
The Division 2 section starts right after, presenting the 22 competing clubs in alphabetical order. For each club we find four stickers: the metallic club badge and three stickers with a total of 12 players (four players per sticker). The album ends with no more sections. Also, there are no updates for this collection.
AS Monaco won the 1996/1997 Division 1 with 79 points, ahead of Paris-Saint-Germain (67 points) and Nantes (64 points). Stéphane Guivarc'h (Nantes) scored 22 goals, being the top goalscorer of the league. Included in this collection we can mention the rookie sticker of Thierry Henry.
