Futbol Uruguyo 2005 is a Panini album of the Uruguayan Primera Division for the 2005 Apertura tournament. It is the fourth Panini album of the Uruguayan football, after Copa Coca-Cola 2001, Futbol Uruguayo 2001 and 2002. The next album will be the Apertura 2007.
This album is a pocket album with size 9 x 12 cm. Therefore, also the stickers are small. Player stickers and flag stickers are 3 x 2.2 cm, whereas the club badge stickers are 3.6 x 3.6 cm. The album begins with the table of contents. Then the 18 competing clubs are shown in alphabetical order. For each club there are 18 mini-stickers: the club badge, the flag, and 16 players. The badge stickers are numbered with letters from A to R and they are bigger than the other mini-stickers. The size of the stickers in the packets it is actually bigger, as each sticker includes four mini-stickers.
In this collection there are some famous Uruguayan players, like Diego Godin, Walter Gargano and Maxi Pereira, whereas Luis Suarez is not included. Rocha FC won the 2005 Apertura tournament with 33 points, two more than Nacional, who won the Clausura tournament and the final play-off against Rocha FC. The top goalscorer of the season was Josè Pedro Cardozo (Rocha FC) with 17 goals.
