Panini Football 87 (Switzerland)

Football 87 is the eigth Panini album of the Swiss football. In includes the National leagues A and B. The series started with Football 79 and it was interrupted for the season 1985/1986. Thus Football 87 is a comeback that will last for another season, before being put on hold until 1994. The last Panini album of the Swiss league is dated 2001.
The cover of Football 87 is something unique: all the players of the 16 clubs of the Swiss league are standing in line on a football field. The album begins with the calendar of the season and the table of contents. The clubs of Nationalliga A are shown in alphabetical order from Aarau to Zurich. For each club there are 18 stickers: the gold shiny badge, the team photo (two stickers), the coach, and 14 players. The career of each player is printed on the album.
Neuchatel Xamax won the title 1986/1987 ahead of Grasshoppers and Sion. The Danish John Eriksen (Servette, 28 goals) was the top goalscorer of the season.

The Nationalliga B section includes the calendar of the season and an overview of the 16 competing clubs with three stickers per club: the shiny badge and two stickers composing the team photo.

The last page of the album includes a section with the football superstars. Here there are 12 stickers of players in action representing 10 different countries: Altobelli (Italy), Amoros and Platini (France), Belanov (Russia), Berthold (Germany), Burruchaga and Maradona (Argentina), Butragueno (Spain), Careca (Brazil), Ceulemans (Belgium), Larsen (Denmark), Lineker (England).
Exactly the same section can be found on the album Football '87  of the Egyptian league. The only difference is that the yellow and white colours of the stickers are reversed.
