Only Good Stickers: Fortaleza Esporte Clube - Gold Edition (Imprima Cromos)

Fortaleza Esporte Clube is a Brazilian football club of the state Cearà. The red-blue-white club was founded on October 1918 and the main achievements of 100 years of history are 42 Campeonato Cearense, 1 Copa do Nordeste (2019) and 1 Campeonato Serie B (2018).

To celebrate 100 years of history, a sticker album of Forteleza was realized by the Brazilian editor Imprima Cromos in 2018. Following three historical victories obtained in 2018/2019 (Serie B league, Copa do Nordeste and Campeonato Cearense) an update edition of the album was released, called Ediçao Ouro (Golden Edition), including 48 additional stickers released in three sheets and a golden hardcover album. The Golden Edition presented here is an excellent album, with thick paper and filled with golden shiny stickers. Even the cover of the album has a golden shiny layer that makes it very fancy. In the following, all the sections of the album are shown with photos and a brief description.

Introduction

Evolution of the Club badge

One sticker for Jackson de Carvalho, who is the composer of the hymn, and one for the current president Marcelo Paz.

O nascimento (The birth)

The first president Alcides Santos was one of the founders of Fortaleza on October 18, 1918. He previously founded the Stella Football Club in 1915. For the new club Fortaleza, the colours of the French flag were chosen: blue, white and red. In the first year of activity, Fortaleza won the Metropolitan Tournament and in 1920 they won the Campeonato Cearense for the first time. There are 5 stickers in this two-page section.

O Primeiro Titulo - O Dominio na Década de 20

The first relevant title won by Fortaleza is the Campeonato Cearense in 1920, followed by more successes in the 1920s. This section includes the stickers of the team in 1920, the trophy 1921 and the victorious team in 1923.

Bicampeao Cearense 1924 - O Tricampeonato 1926/1927/1928

Fortaleza won the second consecutive Campeonato Cearense in 1924 and three more consecutive titles between 1926 and 1928. There are 9 stickers in these two pages.

Os anos 30

Four more victories in the Campeonato Cearense in the 1930s. Six stickers in this section.

Os Anos 40 - O Primeiro Titulo Regional 1946

In the 1940s, Fortaleza won three more times the Campeonato Cearense (1946, 1947, 1949) and the first Regional title, the Nordeste tournament in 1946. There are 8 stickers with team photos in this section.

Os anos 50 - Os Anos 60

These sections celebrate the teams that won the Campeonato Cearense in the 1950s and in the 1960s, and the Taça Brasil (Brazilian Cup) in 1960 and 1968. There are 23 stickers in these sections, including one with Pelé wearing the Fortaleza shirt in 1959, as a courtesy before the friendly match Fortaleza-Santos. There is also one sticker of the Alcides Santos Stadium and one with Garrincha during a friendly match that he played for Fortaleza in 1968. The first game in the new stadium Alcides Santos was played in June 1962 (Fortaleza-Usina Cearà = 2-1).

Mega Mosaico do Centenario

In the center of the album there is a mega puzzle of the centenary game Fortaleza-Paysandu (October 20, 2018) and two stickers with the flag and the chearleaders (leoninas). The 18 stickers of this section are numbered with letters from A to R.

O segundo Titulo Regional 1970 - Os Anos 70

This section includes the stickers of the team and the trophy Norte-Nordeste won in 1970, Socrates visiting and wearing the Fortaleza shirt in 1978, and the teams that won the Campeonato Cearense in 1973 and 1974.

Os anos 80

In the 1980s, Fortaleza won four more times the Campeonato Cearense (1982, 1983, 1985, 1987). There are 9 stickers in this seciton.

Os anos 90 - Os anos 2000

These sections include 7 stickers of the teams that won the Campeonato Cearense in 1991, 1992 and 2000.

Decada de Ouro - Anos 2000

The beginning of the new century is a golden decade for Fortaleza. After the second place in the Serie B 2002, they were promoted to the Serie A. After a relegation, they were back to the Serie A in 2004. They also won four times the Campeonato Cearense betweem 2001 and 2005.

Tetra campeonato 2007/2008/2009/2010

Fortaleza won four consecutive titles in the Campeonato Cearense from 2007 to 2010. This section includes 12 golden stickers of teams and trophies.

2015 - 2016 - Acesso a Serie B

Fortaleza won the Campeonato Cearense in 2015 and 2016. They were promoted to the Serie B in 2017.

Campeao Brasileiro Serie B 2018

2018 is a fantastic year for Fortaleza. They won the Serie B for the first time, being promoted to the Serie A. This section includes stickers of the squad, the coach Rogerio Ceni, the trophy, and the title celebration.

This section celebrates six relevant managers in the Fortaleza history: Branco, Gomes, Pepe, Teixeira, Cruz, and Zetti.

Four stickers with the caricatures of the Fortaleza top scorers: Saravà (152 goals), Croinha (138 goals), Clodoaldo (128 goals), and Rinaldo (108 goals).

Campeao Cearense 2019 - Copa Nordeste 2019 - Triplice Coroa

2019 is another memorable year for Fortaleza. They won the Campeonato Cearense and the Copa do Nordeste, making a triple (Triplice Coroa) with the Campeonato Brasileiro won the year before. There are 18 golden shiny stickers in this section.

Homenagem a Regerio Ceni

The last page of the album is a tribute to the Fortaleza manager Rogerio Ceni, who played a long career as a goalkeeper for Sao Paulo. On May 12, 2019, during the game Fortaleza-Sao Paulo, the supporters of both teams paid tribute to Rogerio Ceni in the stadium.
